Is there any way to make .wav files smaller? I have one now that is 38 MB and
is way to big for what I need. I don't care about losing quality, but I don't want to convert it to an MP3. |

Rip it or convert it to 8 bit or so... 12 is still ALMOST tollerable to listen to. Depending on the file size of the original you can get them pretty small. jetAudio does a fairly decent job at it. jetAudio Basic: http://www.snapfiles.com/get/jetaudio.html -- Galen - MS MVP - Windows (Shell/User & IE) http://dts-l.org/ "A man should keep his little brain attic stocked with all the furniture that he is likely to use, and the rest he can put away in the lumber-room of his library where he can get it if he wants it." I highly reccommend not making the file size smaller, because if you do, the
quality will be poor and Home Edition. If you don't care and still want to do that, I will suggest using a Wave Editing software to convert to change it from 96, 000 or 44,100 Hz to 32,000 Hz or lower. You can also convert from PCM to ADPCM or change from 16 bit to 8 bit. I highly recommend you backing up the original on CD or any other Media Device, before you perform this procedure. -- Jude Nihal Fernando, The Boy Who Loves Laine Kaminski!!!!!!!!
