I am using a headset and a seperate Microphone. My mic isn't working but
when i run the test on it and play a song through media player it lights up the test bar from the music not from the microphone. They are both plugged into the right jacks and my headphones are working perfectly. So what is the deal why is my mic messed up? |

Then choose Options | Properties, and check (radio button) Adjust_volume_for Recording, make sure that Microphone is ticked in the list, then press OK, and make sure that the Microphone slider is Selected (check box) and set above zero level. Note that the check boxes read "Select" when playing back, and "Mute" when recording. -- Chris Laarman |

Have you tried to set the mic boost in the advanced box on microphone level
in the volume control window? -- "The more I Know, the less I need" "cameronnat" wrote: > " My boxes read "Select" when recording, and "Mute" when > playing back".
