when burning audio cds, the program would freeze up the computer. i figured
i should probably reinstall the program. i went to 'add/remove programs and selected 'windows media player' under 'service pack 2 updates' in the list. when i clicked on 'change/remove, i was informed that a rollback was necessary, so i allowed it, and was then was advised that a restart was necessary in order for the changes to take effect. when i restarted and tried to open the media player, the install wizard came up and the program was installed, but it was not on the programs list in 'add/remove programs', and when i tried to open media player,it was still series 10 [i had presumed 'rollback' meant series 9 would be there instead], but wouldn't open--i received this: 'an internal application error has occurred'. therefore, i cannot open the program at all, and i cannot unistall it. what would be my next step, as i cannot access the program in any way?? thank you in advance--you folks have been of immnse assistance when i've posted regarding previous problems.. allyson |
