My My Music folder library has grown to almost 4GB. I'm trying to free up
some space on my C: drive and thought I could by moving my My Music folder to
my D; drive. Is this possible, is this a good idea and does anyone know how
to do this?

Yes, yes it is...

Download TweakUI from Microsoft's Power Toys... Don't...

Do NOT do this... You MIGHT be lucky and not have anything break. Do not
move a system folder - and My Music is a system folder meaning that the
system depends on it to some extent - as it may break something. It's not
worth the risk. Instead move all the data to a new folder named something
creative like "music" and call it good. You can automatically add the folder
to be indexed with WMP etc... You can still access the files, they won't be
taking up space, etc.

But, well, if you absolutely insist on moving the folder... TweakUI will do
it for you...

My "My Music" folder has always been on a secondary or external drive. TweakUI
does the trick. You can also use it to change the location of My Documents and
My Pictures.

Yup. You can... Again, I strongly recommend against it when the alternative
is just as easy. Moving about system files has caused problems for too many
people. That'd be why I recommended you not do it but gave you the link just
in case you insisted on it.
