okay, so here's the deal: recently, i upgraded my motherboard and
processor, because burning CD's and DVD's was super slow. now though, anytime i burn anything, it skips. but here's the catch. it ALWAYS skips in the exact same spot. for example, let's say i burn a CD and it skips at 0:12 into the song. anytime i burn that CD, it was always skip at 12 seconds. i've tried using 4 different kinds of media, i've tried using a different burning drive (one was a CD burner, one was a DVD burner), i've tried pulling from 4 different hard drives (external, internal, networked), i've tried switching out the IDE cables, i've tried burning at various speeds, from 2x to 52x, i've even tried using different burning software. nothing. i've asked around, look on forums, and i can't find any information. if anyone knows anything about this, i would really really appreciate it. my only theory is maybe my port (thats the drive connects to) on my mobo is bad. comp specs: Windows XP Pro AMD Athlon 64 3200+ 2.01 GhZ 768MB Ram NEC DVD-RW ND-3520A |

Give more info. If its NERO (or other), disactivate the IMAPI Burning ROM service of Windows, it can cause conflicts with other software. Cheers, Jerry |
