What is C00D11BA

I installed XP Pro SP 1 and upgraded to SP 2. Prior to this I had Windows
2000 Pro installed and my media player played cds. Now I get the above
referenced error in the subject line and the Sounds and Audio Devices
Properties are greyed out and inactive.

Windows Media Player cannot play the file because there is a problem with
