I downloaded a Karaoke program from the internet, everything works well,
except there is no sound coming from my microphone to sing along. My
microphone works well, I did a test recording a short memo from my PC. Please

Such program might need to have an input selected. Did you select the
microphone?
Could something have muted the Microphone in Volume Control (loudspeaker
icon on the task bar) after your test?

But it is hard for us outsiders to be more specific...
