I have just finished building a Media Center PC running WinMC with WMP10 and
I am re-ripping all of my CDs. I have three database files located in "C:\Documents and Settings\UserName\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Media Player". They are: CurrentDatabase_59R.wmdb 704 KB CurrentDatabase_219R.wmdb 47808 KB wmpfolders.wmdb 116 KB Can anyone shed any light on what function each perform? Can they be accessed independent of WMP10? |

Thank you for you reply, but neither link answers my questions.
The first link tells me what I already know, the files belong to WMP. It does nothing to shed any light on what WMP Uses them for. The second link provides instructions for Deleting/Repairing the files. I don't want to do either. I want to extract whatever information is in them to a database of my design. Again, thank you for trying. 59r is the WMP9 library, 219r is the WMP10 library, wmpfolders I believe keeps track of monitored folders. No, they are not accessible outside of WMP. Cheers, -Zach -- (speaking for myself and doing this in my free time) See http://zachd.com/pss/pss.html for some helpful WMP info. Thank you for your reply. I can assume the 59R file was from the initial
installation for WinMediaCenter and can now be deleted. Do you have any idea as to what is stored in the db versus stored via the tag?
