Default Sound, video, and game controllers

Sorry in advance if this is a dumb question (I know very little regarding
the audio output of a system), but what is the difference between the (Legacy
audio drivers) and the (Realtek AC'97 audio for VIA (R) audio controller)?
Are both of these required for sound on my Compaq Presario? I want to be
using the best I am able to use in terms of sound quality and performance.

Thanx,
Kelly

Default RE: Sound, video, and game controllers

Use the drivers designed for YOUR sound card. The dirvers need to be
compatible with the card, channels, frequency response, etc etc You can go
the Manufacturer's website and download any and all patches for your board.
