Default mp3 licence problem

using my new mpman mp-57 when i download mp3 files using wmp or drag and drop
the various songs downloaded when played back after 6 to ten seconds the
playback stops and the message checking licence occurs andthat piece od music
stops

Are these free or purchased MP3's? Do they come with the right to copy?
Where is the message appearing (Computer or MP3 player)?

The music is from cds i have purchased
all music on my mwp in the protection tab is no

the message is on the mp3 player which also supports wma format

PS the songs from my cd is being changed to mp3 format with dbpoweramp
before downloading to the player
