I recently purchased songs from ITUNES and they did not go directly on to my
IPOD, but went into files??? How do I get these files onto IPOD?

You have to do it through Itunes. With your Ipod plugged in it will show up
in Itunes if you have the software on there. You simply drag the tunes to the
Ipod and they will load. You just have to find what songs you want on Itunes
to load them on - you can set Itunes to syc nd load all your music if you
desire.

Oh yea be sure to leave your songs on your computer also because you can only
download once. You can transfer them to other computers and authorize them.
You can have your songs on up to five computers. It's best to back them up
somehow because you can't load them from your Ipod back onto your computer.

Use your i-tunes software. If your files have downloaded into a folder of
known origin, go to File> Add Folder or Add File. Double click on the tune
and it should appear in your Library or Recently Purchased. You can then drag
and drop to where you want it.
