I am currently using WMP10, using cds which have been ripped on My Music
(under My Documents) on my pc. And every so often for some reason, a bunch of files just seem to be disappear and cannot be retrieved. The individual songs can be seen under Library but when I double click to play, they appear in orange and it says that the file cannot be found. However, I most definitely have not moved or deleted the files. Has this happened to anyone else as I am getting very tired of re-ripping my CD?! thanks |

First, have you checked the Recycle Bin? If not there, they have very
likely NOT been deleted but moved somewheres on your harddrive. Go to: Start>Search>Files and folders and type a key word of one of the "misssing" songs and click Search. If and when it finds it you'll probably find the rest of the songs. Now you can use Windows Explorer, create a folder or directory where you know it is and put them in there. -- XP - WNP Today is the first day of the rest of your life.
