Default crossover cable between a Mac and a PC?

Sorry for the basic question, but is it possible to connect a Mac and PC
using a standard crossover cable?

Will they speak to each other? Share Internet? Or is there an
adapter/patch of some kind required?

Thanks.
Nath.

Sure.

Sure, if you configure them with TCP/IP addresses in the same subnet, you
should be able to ping each from the other. For more, I suspect much depends
on the MacOS version you're running.

Not sure if ICS works well with Macs.

Hi,

Really appreciate the input. Perhaps if both the Mac and PC were connected
to a router though, do you think they'd both access web ok?

Thanks
Nath.
