Default Transferring files from 2000 Server to XP - files won't open

We are adding a new computer and have transferred the files from a 2000
Server computer to an XP computer over the network. Once they are on the XP
computer, we cannot open them it says that we do not have permission.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Lia

Have an Administrator take ownership of files - I am sure you aware that XP
cannot function as a server.
