I had just reloaded win xp pro (see previous reply) and I am getting the same
results with both the original setup and now. I am thinking possibly has to do with the adsl internet we now have. When I try to setup the home network, it changes the adsl network part from dhcp to assigned ip addresses (running the nework wizard) which is supposed to be set on "obtain an ip address automatically" even though I'm running the wizard on the the network card for the home network, not the card for the adsl. This has happened three or four times now. And every time I run the wizard, the host computer is set back to "this computer is connected to the internet through another computer" instead of "this computer is connected directly to the interent".
