Default XP SP2 drops network connection

I am running 30 XP SP2 tablet pc's
They are all built from the same image and as thus are identical in all but
name.

25 Are running smoothly but 5 keep dropping the network connection and
saying you are now working offline.

The users are still physically connected to the LAN but much impeded in
their work.

Can anyone help before I lose my sanity ? (and my job?)

Regards

We need to know more information about your network. What is the
physical setup? Are you connecting to a server and if so, what is the
OS on the server (including Service Pack level)?

Well, that's a *little* more information, but you still haven't told us
anything about your physical network setup. Like maybe you're using an
ancient switch choked with dust and homemade ethernet cables. Or you
have all these tablet pc's trying to connect wirelessly with one access
point.

Sorry my reply was so brief,

I am supporting clients on a 4000 user windows 2003 Domain, over a gigabit
ethernet, multi site network.

All machines are RJ45 connected and all the hardware is less than a year old.

Ports are set to 100 Full and power saving is disabled.

Any more info required please let me know

Many Thanks
