I have a laptop Toshiba A4 with 512 mb ram. It has Windows XP Pro loaded and
logins into a 2003 domain. I do have a login script to map drives and off-line file sync is enabled. This user travels. In addition, Norton Antivirus is and Microsoft Antispyware is installed as well as the tools that come with toshiba machines. Please note I'm not having this issue in general on the domain only with this laptop. The problem is the login time is extremely slow. It hangs on logging into windows for about 5 minutes and then goes through the normal applying computer settings and network connections at a fairly decent speed. I've checked the nick card to make sure it's on auto, changed the cable for the network, dns, dhcp made sure the wiresless was turned off and I've even checked the event viewer for errors and made sure it overwrites. No luck it's still extremely slow and it hangs on logging on to windows. Can anyone perhaps shed some light on this subject? |
