Default Creating a Home Network

How do I create a small home network for simple file and print sharing when I
have one computer hard wired to the internet and a laptop connected
wirelessly through a LinkSys Wireless B router? I've tried running simple
"Set up Home Network" Wizards on XP Pro, but it doesn't work. What am I
doing wrong? What do I need to do in order to get this up and running?

Run XP's Network Setup Wizard on each computer. If the Wizard detects
the router's shared Internet connection, tell it to use that
connection. Otherwise, tell the Wizard that the computer connects to
the Internet through a residential gateway (router).

If there's a firewall program (Norton, McAfee, PC-cillin, ZoneAlarm,
etc) on either computer, configure the firewall to allow access by
other computers on the local area network.

If that doesn't solve the problem, please post another news group
message with full details. Describe how you've set up the network,
what works, and what doesn't work. Give the complete text of all
error messages. I'm sure that someone can help, given enough
information.
