Looking for some LAN IM Software.

I've tried hunting on Google, but the words I put in don't seem to return my
requirements..

I'm looking for some freeware (if possible) software, that can host a IM
message server on my server machine, and additional IM software on my
machines, so I can send online, and offline messages to my users...

A lot like how ICQ works, but on my home network...

Hope someone can help..

Open standard, numerous implementations of both servers and clients, many of
those freeware. Not sure whether it does offline messaging though, it's
been a couple years since I last looked at it.
