I have two PCs with WinXP SP2, trying to setup ICS for both PCs to access the
internet at the same time.
Here is the problem:
One side I have a PC with 2 NICs, which I have setup the ICS on it. The 2nd
adapter became 192.168.0.1
The 1st adapter has cable modem cable connected.

The second PC is a laptop, I used to crossover cable between the two
computers. The laptop's got the IP 192.168.0.167. I can ping from both side
to each other. But I cannot access the internet, and cannot ping to outside
world (internet).

Can do:
Ping to each other
Map to shared printer and print thru it.
Map to shared folder, copy, delete and modify.

Cannot do:
IE does not work, can't out to internet.
Cannot ping outside (ie. yahoo.com)

Am I missing something here?

Make sure that the laptop has all of these TCP/IP settings:

IP Address: 192.168.0.x (1<x<255)
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway: 192.168.0.1
DNS Server = 192.168.0.1 or your ISP's DNS server

I have even entered manually my ISP's DNS numbers. No Luck.
It's just doesn't know where is the gateway. (I think)
Is any command I can type to collect more clue?

What is the error message when you ping an Internet site by name (e.g.
yahoo.com) and by IP address (e.g. 66.94.234.13)? If it says
"Destination host unreachable", the default gateway isn't set
properly.

It might help to disable and re-enable ICS on the first PC, and then
to disable and re-enable the LAN connection on the second PC.

What type of Internet connection do you have? If it's DSL, does it
use PPPoE?

When I ping yahoo.com (66.94.234.13), it says "Destination host unreachable".

I have removed the ICS and re-set it back again, same thing.
The connection type I have is the PPPoE.

Thanks for that information. The default gateway address isn't
properly configured on the second computer, so it doesn't know how to
contact the Internet.

To find the problem, we need to look at the TCP/IP route table. Open
a command prompt window and write the route table to a file:

1. Click Start | Run.

2. Type "cmd" in the box and click OK.

3. Type this command and press Enter:

route print >route.txt

Then, copy and paste the contents of the "route.txt" file into your
news group reply.

Thanks for posting that information. Everything looks normal on the
client, and I don't see how that computer could be giving a
"Destination host unreachable" message when you ping a web site. It
has a default gateway address of 192.168.0.1, which is a LAN
connection on the host computer.

Type this command in the Start | Run box on the client, then reboot
the client and try using the Internet:

netsh winsock reset catalog

I'm puzzled by the host's route table. It shows what looks like an
unused connection to a home broadband router, with IP addresses of
192.168.1.3 for the computer and 192.168.1.1 for the router.

Still doesn't work.

The steps I have done here were done as administrator.
I did what you have suggested and it didn't work.

But if I connect the CAT5 from cable modem direct into the Client PC, it
works fine.
BTW, it's a PPPoE.
