Thanks again to all. What I ended up doing is: sharing the internet
connection on home pc with network, then on my laptop I went into the TCP/IP
properties and made the default gateway the IP of my home pc. For the DNS
primary and secondary I put in my ISP's DNS. After that I was able to
connect to the internet on laptop through my home pc. Now, thanks to
everyone's help in this forum, I can share files, print to printer, and
connect to internet from laptop to homepc from anywhere in the house on my
wireless network. Thanks again. I'm glad that there are IT professionals in
the world willing to lend and teach with a helping hand.
