HI! I am having problems browsing my shared folders through either the
network neighborhood or when trying to map a drive to a share. I get an Access Denied error. My network is a workgroup with 3 XP Pro computers SP2 attached via nat router. I can however view and access content in the shareddocs folders on all computers. I have created the shared folders ( other than the default shareddocs ) and gave access to the network. I am a little confused why I can access files on all system through the shareddocs folders but cannot access the newly created shared folders by either mapping them ( map drive) or by trying to view them by browsing the workgroup in the network neighborhood. All computers see each other and the workgroup name is displayed in the network neighborhood and explorer but will not show its content. ( access denied) the only way is by the default shareddocs that I had a while ago. I tried disabling firewall. but no effect either. Can someone give me something to try out because I am stuck with this. -- Thanks in advance ![]() Paul |
