I am getting a bit frustrated with this problem and hope somebody can
provide an answer. I have a desktop with a PCMCIA PCI adapter. I am trying to use an Orinoco silver PC card to access a wireless access point. The problem is that when I insert the card, Windows recognizes the card as a "Generic Memory Card" not as the Orinoco card that it should. Everywhere I read says Windows will automatically recognize the card. I have even tried installing drivers and that doesn't work. I'm running XP SP2. The card works in my laptop. Any ideas? |

Any ideas? > It is not what you think it is? Windows XP is very good at determining what kind of card you just inserted into the computer. Jim |
