Default Can't acces office LAN via VPN

I have a Windows XP PRO machine running as a file and mail server at the
office. It is behind
NAT with all the right ports forwarded for access to the needed ressources.
From my laptop I would like to connect to the office LAN via VPN to access
IMAP-server and shared ressources (file folders). I can make the connection
OK, but I cannot in any way acces the remote LAN. I can't ping remote
IP-adresses at all.

The LAN-adresses in my local LAN are both in the 10.0.0.x-series, I have set
up the VPN client to use remote DNS. I can se from 'whatismyip.com', that
when I am connected to VPN, I have the IP of my office.

Can anyone help me resolve this issue?

Best regards,
Jesper.
