My Windows XP was setup in a domain configuration. I changed the
configuration to use a "workgroup". After the changes, I was instructed to reboot my PC. I did and now I can now longer log into my PC. On the XP login screen, the account I used on the domain no longer works. There is also no provision for specifying the domain name anymore. How can I get back to the domain configuration? I can't even login into my pc anymore. Its a paper-weight.... Thanks in advance! |

The reason you're not able to login using your domain account is because when
you remove your computer from the domain to WORKGROUP, it removes all account access that was associated with the domain. The way to login to this computer is to login as the local administrator. Typically: UN: Administrator PW: <whatever your local admin password is> Once you login as the local admin, you can create new accounts to access the computer by going to Control Panel -> User Accounts.
