Strange but true. One minute I had a wifi network going then a reboot and
nothing. I have (had) a Belkin wireless router and modem and my PC has a wireless network card. My son runs a laptop with a Belkin USB network adaptor from the same router. After the reboot I had lost all the adapters. Going into Device manager all I get is a blank. Nothing shows at all. Even the modems have been "removed" and I cannot even access the internet through dial up either. The regular LAN card is missing too. I have got round the problem in the short term by installing the USB network adaptor onto the desktop but I am a bit stumped as to what I have to do the restore my devices. Also, when I try and access My Computer, the computer goes off on a long search before showing the detail. It does this every time even if I just close the window and open it immediately. Help much appreciated if only just to get my son off my back. |
