Remote Desktop doesn't work properly
Need to do some actions to permit the Remote Desktop Hello All, I've to PCs one is a laptop and the other a desktop, both are powered by XP. Laptop is conected to the lan by WIFI connected and the destop by ETHERNET câble. The access to internet is managed trough a router. For my job, I've to connect with Remote Desktop to a remote 2003 Terminal Server via VPN Here is the trouble : On the laptop, I always get the error message :"The client could not connect to the remote computer. Remote connections might not be enabled or the computer might be too busy to accept new connections. It is also possible that network problems are preventing your connection. Please try connecting again later. If the problem continues to occur, contact your administrator." When I face this problem, I confirm that : - Internet browsing is OK - VPN Tunnel is correctly established (Phase 2 OK) - "Telnet server_ip_tse 3389" doesn't reach the server - Connection to the same TSE server from the desktop works properly I found the following actions permit to recover the access to the remote desktop: - disabling/enabling the Ethernet card (which is not used) or switch temporaly in hibernate mode. or - when the Ethernet card is disabled in the bios, try twice VPN connection. I've to do one of the previous actions after each system start if I want to connect the Remote Desktop does anyone have suggestions ? Thanks all for your help Christophe |
