Hi,
When i was using win xp Pro within a domain, the security & permission setting for a file or folder can be controlled for each user within the domain or local user account and have the attributes for Read, write, and so on.... But, when running win xp without a domain (workgroup), the setting is tottally different. How can i have the same setting as within a domain even i am not joining a domain? Thanks, Edward |

SFS won't give the same abilities. Classical File Sharing (available only on Windows XP Pro with SFS disabled) should, however. <http://nitecruzr.blogspot.com/2005/06/file-sharing-under-windows-xp.html> http://nitecruzr.blogspot.com/2005/0...indows-xp.html -- Cheers, Chuck, MS-MVP [Windows - Networking] http://nitecruzr.blogspot.com/ Paranoia is not a problem, when it's a normal response from experience.
