Default Problem with a password: Connecting to a printer on a Win2k machin

I think I connected my laptop running XP correctly to a printer connected to
my desktop running Windows 2000. However, whenever I restart my laptop, I
have to go into "My Network Places" and log back into my desktop just to get
access to the printer. When I enter the user name and password, it logs me
in and I can use the printer. Something fishy, though...it doesn't not give
me the option to "Remember the password." Do I have to keep logging into the
desktop from the laptop every time a boot my laptop just to use the printer?
