Have a Windows 2003 Server and I just got a new PC with XP Pro, this PC
joined the domain using the network wizard. I have mapped network drives with no problem. My issue is when I go to “My Network Places” click on “Explore”, then “Entire Network”, then “Microsoft Windows Network” I see my Domain, but when I double click on it none of the computers that are in this domain are shown. I would greatly appreciate help on this matter. |

I would greatly appreciate help on this matter. Asymmetrical visibility in a domain or workgroup can come from any of several problems. Start with my article: <http://nitecruzr.blogspot.com/2005/10/irregularities-in-workgroup-visibility.html> http://nitecruzr.blogspot.com/2005/1...isibility.html If no help provide "browstat status" and "ipconfig /all" from the problem computer, and from 2 of the properly working computers. Read this article, and linked articles, and follow instructions precisely: <http://nitecruzr.blogspot.com/2005/05/troubleshooting-network-neighborhood.html#AskingForHelp> http://nitecruzr.blogspot.com/2005/0...#AskingForHelp -- Cheers, Chuck, MS-MVP [Windows - Networking] http://nitecruzr.blogspot.com/ Paranoia is not a problem, when it's a normal response from experience. Create/join a workgroup instead of domain when mapping drives.

I am confused with your reply. I don't have workgroups, all PC's in my
network are members of the domain. Ok, I found a resolution! I had to put the IP address of my WINS Server in
the TCP/IP properties, reboot the PC and that fixed the issue. Thanks for your reply.
