Using XP Proffessional on a laptop. I have my network drives for the office
all mapped and set to autoconnect. When I'm not in the office though (not connected to the mapped drives) and I want to save a new Word/Excel document to the hard drive the navagation through the directory tree to choose where to save on my hard drive is very slow. Sometimes it can take several minutes just to navigate to where I want to save the file. This seems to only happen with MS Office programs. Should I be mapping my drives differently or any other ideas? thanks, |
