Hi,
Windows XP doesn't seem to create a new Local Area Network icon when I installed my USB modem. All I have is the ethernet LAN, but no USB LAN. How do I create a new LAN icon, so when I click on: Connect To Show all connections I have two LAN icons. One ethernet, the other for my SpeedTouch USB modem (Alcatel). BTW: Control Panel System Hardware Device Manager Network Adapter >Alcatel SpeedTouch USB ADSL PPP (which is the USB modem connected to USB port) >Intel(R) PRO/100+ MiniPCI (which is the Ethernet modem card) How can I make a SpeedTouch USB modem LAN icon????? It doesn't do it automatically (as I believe it should) when I install the USB modem. The USB modem seems to be working though... Both the USB and ADSL lights are green, and the device manager says it working properly (I highlighted the "Alcatel SpeedTouch USB ADSL PPP" and right clicked, then clicked on properties) HELP! |
