Windows XP Slow Printing

I have a peer-to-peer network of 3 computers running Windows XP Professional.
I have a local Epson C84 printer hooked to one computer and shared to the
other two computers. The local printer prints right away, but from the two
other computers on the network, it takes 45 seconds before the print job hits
the print spooler. At one point someone changed a setting to fix this issue,
but we recently reformatted the two computers and now they are back to slow
printing. Please help!
