Default Last windows update broke my home network (file and print sharing)
I had a functioning home network a few days ago with file and print sharing.
It consists of a wireless router and adsl modem. There are two computers on
the network, one being a desktop and the other a laptop. A few days back, I
noticed there were new Windows updates installed on my laptop (which is
running XP home). When I rebooted, the print sharing no longer worked.
Also, when I attempt to look in any remote folders in my network places, they
all request a username and password (something that was never needed before).
As suggested to others with a similar problem, I ran ipconfig and browstat
on both machines. Please see the output below.

Hi Simas.
Thanks for responding. Can you be a little more specific? I don't know
what KB is. Are you saying that this last update was supposed to break my
network or that I have to do something afterwards to fix what it changed? A
link would help a lot.

Look in windowsupdate history tab to find which updates were installed and
then search in google or microsoft for update code.
