I am trying to connect to my laptop on my home network: WinXP SP2, Separate
static IP's, Windows Firewall running on both. Setup file sharing and created a workgroup. Assigned the network ID to be for Home use. Created shared folders on both systems. I also tried to add a port in Windows Firewall/Advanced giving both the same number but that didn't cut it either. When I try to connect to either I get the message that I don't have permission, check with administrator... Is there anoither step I'm missing? Any assistance is most appreciated. |
