Hi to all. Mi sister just bought a wireless printing to work with her
desktop computer.( Win. XP) When trying to install the software she is asked for the NETWORK NAME (also called SSID). It's supposed to be found in the router paper work which are missing, she only has the original box. Where can she find that network name? Thanks in advance. BTW, the router is a LINKSYS 802.11b mode. J.R. |

The Linksys default is 192.168.1.1, so she would open Firefox or IE and type: http://192.168.1.1 [enter] Then she would get the sign-in prompt. Check on Linksys' website for the default username/password if she doesn't remember them. It is usually something like Admin either for the username or the password and blank for the other one. Click on the Wireless settings and look for the SSID. BTW, if she left it "Linksys" (default) she should change it to something else. Or, if she already has a computer connected to the router wirelessly, she could also just look in her wireless network settings and see the name of the network to which the machine is connected. This will be the SSID. Malke -- Elephant Boy Computers www.elephantboycomputers.com "Don't Panic!" MS-MVP Windows - Shell/User |

The default SSID will be: LINKSYS unless you changed it when installing, connecting and encrypting it! Jay Ar wrote: > Hi to all.
