Default DNS not resolving

Hi,
My problem is seems to be very typical, I am using broadband
connection, ISP has given me static ip address. My problem is that I am
unable to browse any website using IE explorer, but able to ping
gateway, dns, & even yahoo ip. When I tried to ping yahoo.com get the
messege unknown host name.
I also try to use Netscape 6 but hopeless, somebody told me this is
problem regarding the DNS, so I have to format & resinstall the os
again .
Is any other way to get rid off this problem to resolve the host name?

Reagrds,
Himanshu

Make sure that you have your networking configured with the DNS IP addresses
provided by your ISP.

Some viruses and malware are very good at keeping themselves from being
detected - even when scans are performed in safe mode.
