Hiya,
Wonder if anyone can offer me some advice. I have set up a home network between two computers with my computer being the host. Both computers see the LAN as enabled and running at something like 100Mbits. (I set it up using the Home Network Wizard on both machines). On my machine I can fire of IE and surf without any problems. On the other machine, whenever IE is started it always says 'Page not found' regardless of which page I access. I thought that IE may be thinking I was working offline but that is not the case. Can someone please advise as to what I am doing wrong. Thanks |

I've written a web page with details of how to set up Internet Connection Sharing on Windows XP: http://www.practicallynetworked.com/sharing/xp_ics -- Best Wishes, Steve Winograd, MS-MVP (Windows Networking) Please post any reply as a follow-up message in the news group for everyone to see. I'm sorry, but I don't answer questions addressed directly to me in E-mail or news groups. Microsoft Most Valuable Professional Program http://mvp.support.microsoft.com |
