We are experiencing a DNS problem with Windows XP SP2 workstation that is
connected to a Windows 2003 SBS server. The problem is that the event log of the XP workstation posts the following error over and over: The name "APSONE :1d" could not be registered on the Interface with IP address 192.168.2.55. The machine with the IP address 192.168.2.5 did not allow the name to be claimed by this machine. When I have looked at the DNS server, I see the reverse lookup shows the IP address and the name have been entered into the DNS database successfully. We have other Windows XP SP2 workstations on the network and the other ones don't have this problem. Any ideas? Regards, Paul |
