Default Problem seeing a Computer

I tried to setup a network between my husbands computer and mine. I ran the
Network Wizard on both computers... turned off the Windows Firewall on both
computers. My husbands computer (computer #1) is running XP home and I am
running XP professional (computer #2). Computer #1 can see all the files and
the printer connected to Computer #2 but computer#2 cannot see anything
related to computer #1. I saw something in an article somewhere on here to
get the IP address from computer #1 and then to open command prompt and
enter... net use*\\(IPADDRESS)\(Name of shared files) ... Well I did that and
it said:
The syntax of this command is:
NET [ACCOUNTS | COMPUTER | CONFIG | CONTINUE | FILE | GROUP |
HELP | HELPMSG | LOCALGROUP | NAME | PAUSE | PRINT | SEND | SESSION | SHARE |
START | STATISTICS | STOP |TIME | USE | USER | VIEW ]

Anyway I have tried re-running the Network setup wizard on computer #2
several times and still haven't had any luck. Any help would be greatly
appreciated and I hope that I have included enough information. TIA

One of the most common causes of this problem would be a misconfigured or
overlooked personal firewall, but there are other possibilities too.

If no help yet, provide "browstat status" and "ipconfig /all" from each
computer, so we can diagnose the problem. Read this article, and linked
articles, and follow instructions precisely:

You're mistyping the net use command, that's why you get the generic help
text returned.
