Default Networking

I need help. I have 2 pc both running xp. I have a Westell 6100 dsl modem and
a linksys router NR041 4-port. Computers are hooked up can see each pc all
lights on router are lit and lights on dsl modem are lit and working.Trouble
is i cannot get on the internet from neither pc. Like i said modem light is
lit to connected to internet...but cannot bring it up "page cannot be
displayed..yadda-yadda-yadda. My Dsl provider is Verizon...any help..please
anyone?

Most DSL connections require PPOE authentication and your Router will need to
be configured to do the authentication since it is now between the PC's and
the modem. Once you get your router to connect properly your PC's sholdn't
have any problem.

You'll need to read your router documentation for that. Sorry. PPOE is just
the standard authentication protocal used for Dial up and DSL authentication.
In general it is usually found on the internet connection page of your router
config.
