Default Re: Read Only in SHARED DOCUMENTS

No...something was wrong.

My wife was unable to modify files in the folder ("Shared Documents"),
though she was able to create her own.

I corrected the problem by changing the "SIMPLE FILE SHARING" attribute in
Explorer>Tools>Folder Options>View

This gave me an administrator control more like I would expect from Win2000.
Indeed she did not have FULL CONTROL.

I've corrected this, and everything seems to be working fine now.

Thanks for the resopnce.

Betcha the folder still shows as 'read only'. What you corrected were
permissions, not attributes. The former is the source of the problem, the
latter had nothing to do with it.
