cd. Got all the way to cd verification and when scanned xp setup said please
insert wondows product and hit enter. The cd is in, it is a purchased real
cd, I cleaned it, Talked nice to it ........ even gave a little peck on the
cheek to let it know that i understood and respected it......... still cant
get passed this phase of setup ....... any ideas?

Hi,

If it's an upgrade disk, then it is looking for a CD from a qualifying
product. For WinXP Home, this would be a CD from Win95, Win98/98SE, or
WinME.
