Recently installed XP on a pc (Clean Install)
When I open Windows Explore and go to any folder in left section and left mouse click on the name, it doesnt give me "rename", I have to manually select rename from right mousde qand the drop dfown list. Anyone know what a fix is for this. My other PC does it correctly. John H |

Assuming default mouse configuration - right side of keyboard, etc. What happens if you select the file/folder with a single left-button click - wait a full second and click on it again? What about selecting the file or folder with a single left-button click and then pressing F2 - what does that do for you? Left-Mouse click is to select. Right-Mouse gives you options - on a normal right-handed mouse setup. -- Shenan Stanley MS-MVP -- How To Ask Questions The Smart Way http://www.catb.org/~esr/faqs/smart-questions.html |
