Hi all-
I have a computer lab at school that has "Teacher" and "Student" user accounts. A few students have been checking their email and I'm getting a notification on the Student login that they have 1 email message. How do i turn this notification off? Thanks, Mark |

Download and install TweakUI:
Microsoft PowerToys for Windows XP (TweakUI) http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/d...powertoys.mspx After installing, go to Start > Programs > PowerToys for Windows XP > TweakUI. Expand "Logon" and uncheck "Show unread mail on Welcome screen". Note: Unread message alerts may indicate you have unread messages not only in Outlook Express, but Hotmail and/or MSN email accounts as well. If you don't have PowerToys, you can edit the registry directly, if you're
happy doing that - see http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;304148 "newtie" <newtie@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:EBC7D2CA-8A24-44C3-9F52-9B7A85A22D99@microsoft.com... > Thanks! > > > > "Carey Frisch [MVP]" wrote: > >> Download and install TweakUI: >> >> Microsoft PowerToys for Windows XP (TweakUI) >> http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/d...powertoys.mspx >> >> After installing, go to Start > Programs > PowerToys for Windows XP > >> TweakUI.
