Just upgraded from Windows ME to XP Home, first off everything seemed OK but shortly after completing upgrade everything hung up and pc would not respond. Re-installed XP, now it works but all previous programmes appear to have been uninstalled - the files are still there, as is data, but desktop is blank and not much will run. I haven't been able to find any uninstall option for XP to get back to ME. Is there anything I can do to "recover" some sense of normality and get my previously installed programmes running? Some of these were internet downloads/upgrades and registration keys, etc for these were in e-mails (Outlook) that I have not been able to find in my new, rather empty, XP world.
