Forgive me with a different problem/issue.... not sure if this even the right
place to ask.... Using OE 6 and the system asked if I wanted to compact messages.... ooops, I said yes, and now two important folders are empty.... How can I retrieve/restore those many important e-mails? tia, PF "Ramesh, MS-MVP" wrote: > Please reply to the original thread. > > Windows XP Newsgroup Setup Instructions for Outlook Express: > http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/e...roupsetup.mspx > http://www.michaelstevenstech.com/ou...snewreader.htm > > -- > Ramesh, Microsoft MVP > Windows XP Shell/User > http://windowsxp.mvps.org > > > "winddancer" <winddancer@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message > news:6B9ED88F-90D1-489C-913B-F8EC31271CB8@microsoft.com... > >i went to views etc at control panel but not sure wwhere to go from there > >to > > find c:/windows..etc.sorry > > -- > > jo68 > > |

Are there any DBT files in the OE store folder (the one with the DBX files)? Note that these are hidden files and you will have to set Windows Explorer to show hidden files and folders.
