Hi
My WinXP Home PC NTFS SP1 has just crashed whilst I was using it. It gave a blue screen with error: 0X000000ED... (unmountable boot volume) An hour or so earlier I installed latest drivers for my NVIDIA graphics card, and also installed TW PGA Tour 2006, it was a cloned copy that didn't work, I'd also been cleaning out the registry with Registry tune up and Registry fix. So after "BSOD" I ran CHKDSK off recovery cd, which informed me I had unrecoverable sectors or words to that effect, then I ran FIXBOOT which completed but didn't sort the problem, and I cannot get into safe mode to remove drivers and game. I googled but I couldn't see a fix I could apply. All help would be greatfully appreciated -- Please type in p.mc in personal replies or leave signature otherwise posts will not be recieved Regards p.mc -- Please type in p.mc in personal replies or leave signature otherwise posts will not be recieved Regards p.mc |

That way when someone reads the message in one newsgroup it will be marked as read in all of them. In addition, an answer posted in one newsgroup will generally show up in all of them. This is usually not necessary since most of those who answer posts read more than one newsgroup. -- Frank Saunders, MS-MVP OE Please respond in Newsgroup only. If not then boot back to the recovery console and this time try the command: CHKDSK C: /R and see if that will resolve the problem. It should work, especially if the second parameter following the STOP code is 0xC0000032 Good luck Ron Martell Duncan B.C.
