I have Winfixer2005 Installer on my computer tha has never really downloaded.
It is not on my add or remove programs list. When I try to delete it, a message comes up tha tell me I cannot access this file because it is in use. There is an icon on bottom right hand corner on my desktop which only brings up a window showing the downloading process. It never downloads completely so it is always in use. Can anyone tell me how to get rid of this thing? Would I be able to remove it if I started my computer in safe mode? |

Give it a try, Sue,
After starting in safe mode, use CMD.exe on the run line, then after the window opens, type CD\ to put you in the root directory. Change to the directory where the file is and type: RD /S "name of file" Use the quotes to enclose the file name. -- Politicians and Diapers must be changed often and for the very same reason "Sue in Texas" <SueinTexas@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:FD7C9FB4-BEEA-4A4A-8C63-572B2C428099@microsoft.com... > > > "Sue in Texas" wrote: > >> I have Winfixer2005 Installer on my computer tha has never really >> downloaded. >> It is not on my add or remove programs list.
