Error msg during logon

Default Error msg during logon

After logging in to my user account, before desktop comes on "user
Enviornment" msg box comes on the screen. This msg box says"windows can not
load the user's profile but has logged you on with the default profile for
system.

detail:Incorrect function".
When click on the OK button windows starts Ok.
I want to know why this msg is appearing and how to remove it.

Hi

Your user profile is corrupt, there is generally no recovery from this. You
need to stop trying to access it, as this will not change. Logon as
administrator and create a new account for yourself, then copy your old one
into it.

Note that one step not listed in the article is that after creating the
destination profile you must log into it once first to create the necessary
file structure before you do the copy procedure.

Hi
Thanks a lot. It has solved my prblem but now I am unable to open office
documents which are encrypted.I tried to decrypt them but was unable to do
so.Everytime I get the msg saying access denied.Unfortunately I have deleted
my old account.is there anyway to recover those documents? Help is
desperately needed.

Hi,

"Access denied" does not mean they were encrypted, it indicates an ownership
issue. If you encrypted them, you would need the encryption certificate to
recover them.
