After logging in to my user account, before desktop comes on "user
Enviornment" msg box comes on the screen. This msg box says"windows can not load the user's profile but has logged you on with the default profile for system. detail:Incorrect function". When click on the OK button windows starts Ok. I want to know why this msg is appearing and how to remove it. |

Hi
Your user profile is corrupt, there is generally no recovery from this. You need to stop trying to access it, as this will not change. Logon as administrator and create a new account for yourself, then copy your old one into it. How to Copy User Data to a New User Profile http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=811151 Note that one step not listed in the article is that after creating the destination profile you must log into it once first to create the necessary file structure before you do the copy procedure. -- Best of Luck, Rick Rogers, aka "Nutcase" - Microsoft MVP http://mvp.support.microsoft.com/ Associate Expert - WindowsXP Expert Zone www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/expertzone Windows help - www.rickrogers.org "Captain Shailendra Kumar" <CaptainShailendraKumar@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:C744FA69-7C52-4295-93E6-666BE37F8737@microsoft.com... > After logging in to my user account, before desktop comes on "user > Enviornment" msg box comes on the screen. Hi,
"Access denied" does not mean they were encrypted, it indicates an ownership issue. If you encrypted them, you would need the encryption certificate to recover them. Please see this link on "taking ownership" of a folder: http://rickrogers.org/fixes.htm#Taking_ownership -- Best of Luck, Rick Rogers, aka "Nutcase" - Microsoft MVP http://mvp.support.microsoft.com/ Associate Expert - WindowsXP Expert Zone www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/expertzone Windows help - www.rickrogers.org "Captain Shailendra Kumar" <CaptainShailendraKumar@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:83CEBEF3-CDDA-4491-B31A-F6D20C9C9D08@microsoft.com... > Hi > Thanks a lot.
